Most Florentines don’t live in the city anymore, the historic center. Now, Florence has more multinational stores, more trinket stores and tourist shops, and a lot of Airbnbs. There used to be more artisans, traditional shoemakers, leather pieces made by artisans - you still find a lot of that, but Florence was full of Florentines living there, in the center. Florence, now and then, the biggest change is the historic center has changed a lot.
